Original Medicine
is an evolving program cooperatively stewarding communal lands through tangible nutrition actions and skill exchanges with four distinct focuses:

Exchanging skills trans-locally develops mutual aid-based solidarity, forming a land-based coalition of stewardship sovereignty, collective security and structured nourishment that abolishes economic and ecological insecurity.

Collectively owning and stewarding land through this holistic, intercultural framework integrates original knowledge, human harmony, and ecosystems-based approaches, honoring our collective indigenous ancestry while appropriately integrating relevant modern scientific insight.
Demands
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all people are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among the people, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that, whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute a new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.

Organizing
Original Medicine is organized with working class communities chronically impacted by systemic structural and cultural oppression contextualized by housing insecure, economically insecure, queer, and neuroauthentic experiences.
Individuals and entities hoarding land and extracting resources from communal BIPOC land and labor for profit create barriers by means of institutional complexes. This includes exploitative conglomerates like local Housing Authorities, Monsanto, and the U.S. government. They manufacture supply chain scarcity, enforce discriminatory zoning and taxation, criminalize indigenized wellness, and violently oppress grassroots liberation organizing.
Original Medicine contributes to systemic change by nourishing our holistic wellness; repairing cultural relationships to land and the collective self that continue to be violently severed by colonization, economic oppression, and political criminalization. Through land-based trans-local planning, we are expanding wider efforts of systemic change through strategic cooperative partnerships with the growing number of indigenous, minority, cooperative, and permaculture land-based networks nationwide. These collective healing educational experiences and the implementation of organizing tactics allow us to engage, exchange, and develop both historic and innovative healing techniques and cultural practices. Sovereignty in intercultural regenerative practices restores equitable relationships with all life while expanding our skill-share ecosystem, restoring original knowledge, and increasing the cultural nourishment of international pillars of BIPOC security.
